Renishaw Datum Spheres

Regular requalification of your probe using Renishaw’s universal datum sphere enhances the performance of your manual or fully automated CMM. The spheres are made from hard-wearing tungsten carbide and are available in five different diameters:

  • 12 mm
  • 19 mm
  • 25 mm
  • 3/4 in
  • 1 in

Each sphere kit comprises:

  • One datum sphere
  • Pivot pillar, base, ‘C’ spanner
  • Ball certificate and storage box
  • Adaptor for twin ball applications (optional)

Ball stems can quickly and easily be adjusted over a wide range of probe datuming angles. Renishaw datum spheres are supplied with their own individual certificate, traceable to UK (NPL) standards.

Please note that datum ball fixing studs are not included.
